Restart Your Auto-Uploader's System Service

If your system tray icon for the Auto-Uploader displays "Uploader stopped" when you mouse over it or you have confirmed that your inventory file is being updated but uploads are not being sent, then you need to restart your Ticket Evolution Auto-Uploader system service.

Step 1: Locate the System Service


To pull up a list of your system Services, please follow the instructions below that pertain to your operating system.

Windows 7

Windows Vista

Windows XP

Server 2003

 


Windows 7


Click on your Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System and Security -> Administrative Tools -> Services

Proceed to Step 2: Start or Restart your Service


Windows Vista


Click on your Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools -> Services

If you are in classic view: Click on your Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

Proceed to Step 2: Start or Restart your Service


Windows XP


Click on your Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools -> Services

Proceed to Step 2: Start or Restart your Service



Server 2003


Click on your Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

Proceed to Step 2: Start or Restart your Service

Scroll down the list until you find Ticket Evolution Auto-Uploader and then click "Start" or "Restart" depending on which is displayed.

Proceed to Step 3: Set Your Service Recovery Options


Step 3: Set Your Service Recovery Options


While you are in the services window, this would be a great time to set the Ticket Evolution service recovery options to automatically attempt to restart if it fails for any reason.  To do this simply:

  • Right-click on the "Ticket Evolution AutoUploader Service" and select "Properties" from the context menu.
  • Click on the "Recovery" tab in the Properties dialogue box that is displayed
  • Locate both the "First Failure:" and "Second Failure:" dropdown boxes to "Restart The Service"
  • Click "Apply" and then "OK" to exit out of this dialogue box

Recovery Options

You have finished restarting the "Ticket Evolution AutoUploader" system service. When you mouse over the Ticket Evolution Icon in your system you should now see "uploader started".

Please make a small change to your inventory and try a fresh export to make sure your Auto-Uploader is working as expected.
